a storm blew in, it got a bit windy and cold, but not cold enough for snow
just some horizontal rain and mist and fog

thanks for that 2000 UZJ!
i can tell you though, the suspension is scary now...not sure if its the weight of the bullbar but i think yes and add to that the factory suspension is just ok.
look for more posts from me soon!
cheers

i think both. no i am factory suspension. since new...2005.
it always had the "dive under brakes" before i got the ARB bar but ARB supposedly adjusted the front torsion bars to put the "rake" back to what it was.
It made no difference except i assume it put the factory "rake" back to where it was after they installed the bar.

and i won't let anyone drive it now as it rolls so bad now. But we are talking highway speeds. Here max is 110km/h which is i think 65mp/h?
and usual is 100km/h which is 60 mp/h. And seriously it only gets driven by someone else on our annual camping trip. But unless i have new suspension next time...nope...just me will be driving it. I know it too well!

it catches me out sometimes, even on roads i know... and so it definately needs an upgrade to the suspension (shocks most likely)....not necessarily a lift...that depends on what you use it for i guess, but yes an upgrade. For me...the plan is getting the lift and the suspension component upgrade...but it's a pity Yota didnt have a slightly better factory setup given the brake dive i (and many others) have had since new!!

I like it very much

Crux that is one nice 'cruiser mate!

That's the colour i was trying to get but the dealer said i had choice of a white one, silver (mine) or a dark green or i'd have to wait 8 weeks for what i wanted....and in hindsight i probably could have held out (as they are lying barstards!!)...and as it turned out he was lying but that's another story!

cheers

Going up was a lot easier than going down. Thank god for a good spotter. Only a little scrape on the exhaust from that one. Not too bad.

Oh and Crux, you're more than welcome to join us on runs. Check out Rising Sun Toyota 4x4 Club * Denver, CO and check the event staging forum. We're doing a run tomorrow if your interested.

Hey, thanks for the invite! I'll keep an eye on the rising sun forums for trail runs. It'd be good to go with other 100 owners who know the capabilities of this truck.

Sand Dunes Nat Park in CO over July 4th.

Here you go! Medano Pass does begin with 6 miles or more of sand, and then varies from sand, to dirt to rock and mud.
