A little snow in Idaho. I did make it up the hill but not on this attempt. A friend of mine joked with me that maybe I should drive his 80 up the hill because he knew I knew how to drive an 80. I walked right up it with the 80 and then fell down the hill to retrieve him and my 100 at the bottom. This definitely was an area where the 100 should have shined. I'm blaming it on the MTRs. I'm going to get them siped this week.

Nice rooster tails on all three wheels in the snow pics. Tell the guy in the 80, you were to busy adjusting your seat heat to worry about some little hill!

Funny you should say that. Coming from an 80 I think that is one of my favorite gadgets. However, next tim I head out I'm not turning them on. Because when you get out your butt really freezes. It makes for an extreme change.

Siping has that big of an effect on this type of terrain? What kind of tires was the 80 running? Did you ever make it in the hundy?

Yes, siping makes a huge difference on ice. The 80 was running Mickey Thompson MTZs. Just even the slight siping that they have made a difference. The other rigs with us that didn't have any siping were in the same boat as me. Yes I finally made it in the 100.

We get to drive very little in those conditions in NC. Thanks for the info.

Not quite outfitted to be wheeling too hard here (still went further than most), but we went out a little on Thanksgiving near upper Sycamore Creek and the silica mines.

Peek-a-Boooo!!!!

looks like a brochure photo, nice job. what do you do to keep the paint so clean?

It's this anti-static showroom conditioner wipe down stuff I wash it with instead of water that I got from an auto detailer that I bought my black car from. It keeps it looking clean for weeks sometimes. It hides the scratches pretty good and it keeps dust from really sticking to the truck. It also seems to protect the wax and prevents swirls. I haven't had this truck too long so I haven't had much of a chance to outfit it yet for some of the better trails AZ has to offer.

problem solved...cover the ugly rear with a spare, grill and cooler. ;)
