The wife and kids went down to Florida to see Opa and Oma so I decided instead of being bored at home I go up one of trails around here and camp out here. Wheeling was pretty fun, ran into a group of Jeeps and one 80's series guy, they couldn't believe how many miles were on my truck. They lent me some gorilla tape which I used to hold my fan shroud in place after one of the brackets broke when I was putting my steering rack...they were skeptical to say the least, but it worked the rest of the trip. There was a big muddy water crossing right after their campsite that I had just made it through and then watched two Jeeps get completely bogged down in it and I totally started laughing at them as condescendingly as I could. Then I realized my car was not accelerated and was just idling forward. The pedal/throttle did not work at all. I ended up stopping, shutting it off, checking some of the sensors connection and I guess letting them dry out. Restarted the car, and it worked good as new so...that was that. Campsite had some pretty good views.

Also, I lost this little rear quarter panel trim molding at some point on the trail....is it seriously $100 for this dinky piece of plastic?

Also, looking at my wheels and listening to my brakes after these mud/water crossings, I need to add brake cleaner to my list of trail supplies.

Nice spot for lunch.

Any particular reason you keep the running boards on?

The First sentence of his post. Same reason mine are on. I’ll find a Step/Slider I like That’s rugged some day, or make some.

Yeah kinda, the kids cant get in the without them (the 5'2" wife struggles as well lol), and the budget for sliders dried up. I started taking them off and the one bolt was such a pain to get to I figured I'd leave it on rather than have to reinstall it. They are beat to hell though, I've landed on them and scraped a couple times with no damage to the body so.

I plan to make a step that sits six inches lower than whatever sliders I get or make, that clamps on like you see on a dual swing out, that I can remove before off-roading.

I turned around and parked, road was blOcked im about 3 feet from Forest service road 189.1 C (legal for driving 300' from center line of road for dispersed camping)

Easy fix, heat it up just a bit, not super hot....turn wheels full left and mash from behind, it will pop right out. Then use paint thinner to get out the color that rubbed on it.

Maxing out my 100s flex. OME 875s with 1in spacer and fox 2.0 shocks
