Buffed the paint...

Washed.
Clayed.
Waxed.
Buffed.

Not bad for 20 year old paint!

First “real” off roading today and gave the KO2s a workout. 11 miles out and back on Schnebly Hill Rd in Sedona, AZ to the Vista. Rock crawling all the way. No rubbing or crunching, so a success despite lack of sliders or aftermarket armor. Engine seemed to run cooler (it was 93 F outside) in low range. No spinning or sliding on the way up or down. Took about 4 hours with stops for pics and views.

Just picked up this completely stock 2006 LX mall cruiser last month in Southern California. I feel like I found the holy grail. In time I'd like to get a more off-road worthy set of tires and I maybe smaller wheels (17" TRD or 16" OEM?). The current setup is the stock 18" wheels with 275/60r18 Michelin LTX.

l replaced all the interior lights with a Precision LED light kit and took it on an short overnight camping trip just to get it off-road. I'm hoping to take it over the Tushar Mountains (Puffer Lake to Junction, UT) this summer as it looks like a scenic and easy route. Please share your tips/insight if anyone has driven that route.

This is my first Land Cruiser and 4x4 vehicle - I"m excited for the road ahead!!

Here are a few pictures after I added some OME 2865s and cranked the front torsion bars up a little. I did have to re-index the drivers side torsion bar a little bit. I ended up lowering the front a tiny bit after I got home from taking these pictures so it's not technically where she sits now, but it's close.

This is the exact setup that I have except 2002 white LC love it for the price.

Update. I went back to original trim molding. White was plastidip and it was getting ugly so I plan on sanding these and getting them painted fresh.

This is about 90% of the available flex in a 100...
