Spent the long weekend in Crested Butte with some buddies and the wife. Did some wheeling/exploring along Schofield and Paradise Divide and mountain biked 401. We attempted Pearl Pass to Castle Peak, however it was a complete s*** show due to 4 or 5 days of straight rain, so after sliding sideways, backwards, we turned around.

I lived in Gunnison while attending Western State, definitely seeing some familiar terrain. Looks wet, but fun.

camping and hiking weekend.

Installed some 865s in the rear last weekend they did great with the load compared to stock springs with spacers without really making the normal ride too harsh. Seem to make a good combo with ironman foamcell shock.

Thanks Paul. Really am quite happy with the mild lift setup now as it supports all our weight and has very nice road manners on/off road. Only thing lacking now that I have the 570 to compare to is power so the plan is to ride it out for this summers camping trips and piece together a forced induction system over the winter for next year.

Yes it was in Cold Springs close to Netherlands, was Saturday morning and to the other side we could see a small fire which has now unfortunately become a rather large fire thanks to some uncaring campers

If either of your LX's have low AHC pressure in the rear and you would like to swap in some LC springs to alleviate the issue you are welcome to grab the set I just pulled off the truck as I have no use for them.

Today I got my Dual Battery System by T-Max up running. With a New Yellowtop 75ah which fits in just nicely. Setup is pretty straight forward, no problems whatsoever.
Apart from this i did a LED-Update on the interior. Stunning how much more light gets into the cabin! Also i installed LED strips onto the back window for lighting on the working surface. very happy with it. for more pics check my Build Thread linked below.

Ran up Red Cone Pass - what an experience. Once you commit to Red Cone Pass, you're committed! It's a one-way only. I was running the 285/75/r16's at 16 psi, which seemed to be the sweet spot. In the picture of the LX looking up a hill, you can see the trail branches off to the left and right - I chose the left. I spent a good 20-30 minutes placing rocks to get my tires up and over some good sized boulders in that section. I'm fairly certain the right-trail is easier. Moving 100+ lb. individual rocks at altitude is HELL! I slightly bent a rear control arm in that section too. Looks like I'll need to add that to the list of upgrades

As for going down the extremely steep sections on loose scree... a pucker-factor of 10/10.

Definitely try out Red Cone Pass if you're wanting a physical and mental challenge! Then grab a nice cold beer in Silverthorne, you've earned it.
