Did a quick run to the snow yesterday eavning. So far I'm very impressed with the Toyo rt tires!

Go-go Gadget fingers and call AAA for a winch-out!

Story: So, I've had my rig since last summer and had yet to engage the transfer case or diff lock. I was up in the mountains of Idaho that had just received a dumping of 12" of snow. "PERFECT!", I thought, for testing systems out. I found what I believed to be a suitable shoulder to pull forward, engage, reverse, disengage. Systems seemed to have worked well, until the snow covering a waning edge of shoulder revealed terra firma to not exist. Rig started to list to the right (river side). I stopped reverse trajectory and attempted forward. This is when the rig started to dig sideways towards the Lochsa River (pictured).

Any attempt to accelerate out only exacerbated the situation, boring sideways like a screw into the snow. Upon inspected, the tread of the BFG KO2s were caked with icy slush. To the right of the vehicle is a boulder and drop off into the river. Fortunately, a passer-by I met at a local hot spring was coming back my way and gave me a lift to a local lodge where the fun process of engaging AAA began. A couple hours later, post-nightfall, the Ford F-250 with a winch showed up to winch me out from the rear. I can tell ya, never been so scared in a vehicle when this ~6,000lb tank began to slide towards the frigid river with me in it!

I totally own my poor judgement and failure to properly assess the situation (I might've been slightly stoned). This does in no way indicate a weakness of the 100-series. Next important mod? An aftermarket front bumper with Warn winch!

I know the feeling LexusLC, it's not a good one!

Like the black wheels

Your LX looks mean, I love it!

Glad you made it out ok.

Beaver Lake, AR. So we were really close to you. It was our first time there. We drove through Hobbs and over to War Eagle. It was beautiful. I want to go back when the trees have leaves on them.
Leafs on the trees make for a different type of beauty (usually plenty of heat/humidity to go along). I almost prefer the winter conditions in the Ozarks due to the unobstructed views.

I spent the second week in March overland from Texas to Moab, Utah. Spent a day at National Monument and did Snow Flat Road and Valley of the Gods. Camped in Moab for 4 days experienced Chicken Corners, Fins and Things, Arches 4x4 Trail, Pucker Pass, Top of the World and Shafer Trail. Also rescued a stuck chevy equinox from the ditch on Shafer Trail. Hiked in Arches NP and had a great time out there with some fun people.
