It's an incredible way to see the geology of the Utah and Arizona desert. It's been on my list for 5 years, had to do something about it. At 48, and dreaming about the Hayduke, since I hiked the JMT in 2016, veteran explorers like @pappy ,@alia176 and @4Cruisers gave me some much needed inspiration to go for it. The logistics are half the work. The rest is a walk in the Park(s). Its been worth every step so far. I think the grand Canyon might be the big challenge.Nice! The Hayduke's been on my list for a bit now, hopefully I get to it soon.
Right, One of the reasons I'm doing sections at a time. 2 weeks is about what my body is comfortable with right now.I bought the book long ago with grand aspirations of adventure. The mind is saying "let's do this," but the body is laughing out loud.
