We were one loss away, but you picked the wrong one. Beating LSU wouldn't have changed anything. Florida was the one we had to win, but we failed. Beating cLLLLemson again was the only thing that takes the sting off of that failure. If only to shut them up for another 365 days.

It didn't have anything to do with a defense that let a back up QB throw over 300yds against them.
It didn't have anything to do with Clowney and co. terrorizing Boyd in the backfield all night.
It didn't have anything to do with them being pushed around by a more physical S.Carolina football team (see the hit on Ellington by Swearanger)

I hate to break it to you, but there was no way in hell USuC was goin to the NC...if you had an unbeaten regular season Alabama would of stomped you in the SEC champ game hands down....then if you had by some miracle won ESPN would of screwed you over and changed the computer system and still allowed Alabama to go an play against ND...but wait that is all just a dream cause you got beat twice and never had a chance so just wake up and get out of dreamland cause its either gonna be Alabama or Georgia vs ND....and Carolina will be printing up NC shirts still dreaming, they'll say we almost made it to the NC by one game!
I can comprehend it just fine, because we are the best basketball conference every year. I don't cheer ACC every time Duke and UNC win it all though, sure I cheer them on, but unlike SEC fans I don't try to claim the championship as partially mine because I got beat by them along the way. USuC is just the footstool of the real teams in the SEC. You aren't going to win it all keep dreaming, your delusion gives me humor every day.
Clemson didn't ride any coat tails, they beat everyone in front of them and actually won a NC. I know you USuC fans don't understand that since the closest you ever been in 110 years is 2 losses and that has only happened in the past couple years.
Maybe you just don't understand the meaning of the saying, let me help. Riding coat tails is when you claim some amount of credit for someone elses accomplishment, its what you dod every year when you cheer SEC as you watch the SECCG and NC on tv. Clemson has been there and won it so we can actually claim it as our own accomplishment. I know that is logic so you probably won't understand it but I don't know how to explain it in retard.
Please explain how Danny Ford is an SEC coach? I'm assuming you mean that because he played in the SEC and was an assistant there. He was never a head coach until Clemson, he later went to Arkansas after winning the NC at Clemson. By that logic Dabo is also an SEC coach since he both played and assisted there.
Y'all's experiences must different than mine. I know of no Clemson fans that are making excuses or running their mouths. The only ones I know of are here.
Why the Clemson fans here are disparaging us makes no sense to me whatsoever. By talking us down, it just reflects how poor their teams must be.

If south carolina would have beaten florida (literally a game where S.Car gave them the game...with a pretty bow on top)
we would have be in the exact same postion as Georgia...one win away from a NC game

6 of the top 10 teams in the BCS rankings are SEC....including the Gamecocks....i guess we rode the coat tails in on that one...you know...by beating Georgia...along with all but 2 sec opponets...and both our losses were to opponets who finished in the top 10.

I will ignore the low blow on lattimore...he has more heart talent and class than any one who has put on a football Jersey belonging to any southcarolina school
Unlike Spiller he can spell and his class/work ethic will take him far no matter his career.
You should be ashamed to say such words about a Christian athlete that does as much as he does for his fans/community.

If I was a betting man I would probably take you up on that one. I do not see us going 0 for 3. If our D improves as quickly as our offense we should easily be top 10 next season. It is always funny to me that we are in a rebuilding stage and most fans admit that we are another year or two out from where we want/need to be and the chickens are in their prime of 120 years of football outside of that one season back in '84 that you choked in? It only took the chickens 103 years to win a bowl game. We can all talk smack, truth is the chickens came to play this year, eventually it will be Clemson's turn again. It's not like the chickens will win another 24 in a row to even up the series, Spurrier can't live that long.
