Hit a Rock in just the right place

Was in it and the front wheels hooked up and snatched the steering wheel from my hands and I wasn't off the gas fast enough to stay out of the rock. It was at te base of the rock garden.

That royally sucks.

Other than the hassle to get it fixed...it wasn't that bad. I expected to break something on the shakedown...control wasn't it...but hey...it happens haha

If you don't break something you didn't have fun. Just saying.

I posted your bent control arm pic in the 80 series forum. Looking at that pic, have you checked the control arm brackets on the front axle? I can't believe they would withstand that. Good time for a control arm flip.

Brackets where fine from what I could tell. Came out easy and the truck drives and tracks fine Ben at HWY speeds. Need to address a messed up tranny mount(possibility) and the front housing was seeping before we left for gray rock and its a leak now so that will be addressed also.

I'll take pics tonight if I have any daylight
Left when I get home.
