Saving for:

Gears for the Tcase. Fixing the red truck and my trip to Austin slowed down the funds.

Hope to have it rolling around with 4:1 by march
 
Having sold the 96...I picked up a 2012 Mustang GT to drive daily so that I dont have a SEMI project and a Project.

Gold truck goes under the knife first of May.

Removing interior and filling holes in fenders and roof with sheet metal back plates and attaching and then smoothing with JB-weld...I have done this before with flawless results on a few different car fenders. take down the entire car and prep it for Primer and then roll on liner. White Top with Gold/paint match liner on the remainder of the truck. Flat black mirrors and door handles.

Removing front bumper and bobing the rear frame a bit to make way for matching front and rear tube bumpers that i will get mocked up and start cutting and bending and have welded up before end of year.

Going to rebuild the tranmission and Tcase. new clutch and pressure plate. 4:1 gearing for low range in the tcase. just gonna gear set the case.

Might buy another trans and case if I can find them and rebuild those to have a spare anyway.

Going to search/source new front and rear diffs from FZJ and go to rear disc eventually.

I expect her to be about where I want her come next january and I expect her to be driving before Christmas...A lot to do...

When you are ready for the axles tell me. I'm picking up the LCAs next week. Should be moved into the new house the first week of may. Then I'll swap the rear axle. Hopefully may-June.

I think I would need another ladder extension for the tent too.

You ever have issues with the aussie locker front on the road with it getting squirrely putting down power in a turn at speed or anything, like on an exit onramp or something?

It has manual hubs and a part-time transfer case so when the hubs are unlocked it is 2wd

Ah I gotcha. Thought that sounded dicey, lol.
