This feels like an ad and perhaps belongs in the classifieds.

im sorry Andre ,

- this historical moment in TEq Metric Time and TEq Space does NOT involve any related available parts ....

- it's sole purpose is to document the entire OEM 1st and 2nd generation MAP Lights / Lamps

- if you want one that badly , i would suggest placing a WANTED AD in the BODY and Armor Sub-Group in the general classifieds ..

That’s very very interesting that the far RH passenger side mounting location is referred to in a foot note format “ Canvas-Top “….

- does this now mean the common and widely used abbreviation “ FST “
Is some how not factuallty correct in some way and the abbreviation “CT” applies more so factually ?

- so …

- then where is the “ Interior-Light “ mounted on a “ Hard-Top “ model then ?

- I hope more folks chime in and post more OEM mounting locations of
Both the “ Interior Light Switch “ , I was NOT aware a interior light switch for a Darth Vader Lamp could or should be mounted right there in super close proximity to the Vader lamp itself ?

- I then wonder why ?

- this is too remote a location for a driver owner operator to use as needed even in a standing still E-Brake applied scenario ?

Total fascination with OEM early Darth Vader Lamps and Lights period
Correct mounting locations and various areas of its projection and levels
of actual illumination….. should the title of this Tech Thead be maybe 🤔

- This is a general discussion High-Tech-Thread ..

- other fellow members are encouraged to post photos of there
“ MY-PRECIOUS “ Darth Vader Lamps and Lights too

Let’s get the discussion going and let’s get the discussion FULL Throttle ON !

- I original paper print media Land Cruiser Parts catalogers from 1962-1969 I will be posting relivent and related Tech here soon as well when free time permits …

So …

Bring It on !

My 10/72 has the vader light hole and switch hole to the right of the glove box. Like this:

My 4/72 FST also has the vader light same as the above diagram, to the right side of the glove box.
However, I have the small knob pull switch (NOT the 'Panel' switch) and the switch is located in the hole to the right of the cigarette lighter. I'm sure someone could have moved it.
@Living in the Past will chime in here soon, and one's he's spoken you can turn out the lights!

I know this stock for my 2/73 FST.

Replacement dash is from a 73 with the same location.

Same switch as my 9/67 FST which is a 68 model with the padded dash. Only difference is older switch has screw lug terminals and newer one has bullet terminals. Part number for the switch changed 7/70. Knob part number never changed. Location of the switch could have changed from left of the glove to the right. Both my 68 and 70 model are FHT and switch is to the left of glovebox door.

Was it stock to have a beaver stuck inside the dash and escape through that hole? Yikes!!
My switch is in the wrong place!!

Here’s my 4/72 FST with me pointing at the pull switch. No hole for the switch near or below the light!
