Next weekend another trip so the rear bench had to move for sleeping, but I want it to be easy when traveling with kids.
Original remove 4x #12 bolts, I read someone replaced a pin, I ordered 8 mm but it does not fit (needs 10mm) and looks flumsy (no road check with that)
Sick of wrong info and did not want to buy another (plenty 10 mm wide 70mm long pins for sale)
The metal ring has to be destroyed, then selflock nut hand tight should be fine.

Fixed another rusted wheel as a second spare, painted (3 layers anti rust, 3 layers black paint, 2 layers gloss, :coffee: ) split rim and new inner tube, pretty fast to complete with some talc powder against rubbing and tire soap, 10 minutes, lol used to take an hour, now this could be about 25th time: auto pilot.

I was helping in a forest in Belgium to collect trees, used this old phones to see the winch cable spooling:

Then realized that 2x100 Amp batteries in series delivers 100Amps, the Warn can pull 5000Kilo with 221 amps, 2720 with 152 amps.
it works but not what I want and buying two more 100 amps batteries to get a 200 amp parallel system is to much weight.
EDIT: don't forget CCA: cold cranking amps, 830 is a lot and for 20 seconds should deliver plenty of Amps.
:hmm:
Still very handy, pulled a lot of trees out:

Our Yamaha Breeze Grizzly 125 lost the chain and it ate all gears in the gearbox, a lot of work and new parts to fix it.
used bread to press out the old bearing:
file.php

welded buggered exhaust bolt red hot and got it off:

file.php

Visible damage but also a lot of invisible but wiggling gears:
500 dollars in parts, maybe not even worth it:

file.php

Then after driving 100 meters it still made funny noises :bang:

Took it apart again, the big sprocket with blue circle was not replaced, it had a tiny little crack in one tooth, replaced that one too:
Just to show gearbox damage is very extensive:

One battery would go to 10.4 Volts, while winching to 7V
Replaced with two new:
Battery indication in Volts: below 12.4 is bad!
12.6+V 100%
12.50V 90%
12.42V 80%
12.32V 70%
12.20V 60%
12.06V 50%
11.90V 40%
11.75V 30%
11.58V 20%
11.31V 10%
10.50V 0%

12 Volt, 100 ampere, 306 length x 173 wide x 222 high mm

On my way to get the dutch road license (apk), nice equal charging :

And after the 4 second 4300 rpm particle test (PASSED):bounce::rimshot::steer::smokin:

I was a bit  but then the scary brake test (PASSED):cheers:

Everything was oke, lights, doors, wheel bearing play, whatever: but only one thing to weld!
Rust was hiding behind this mount!
file.php

Got home and immediately parked "ready for welding", could park inside but this is better if it catches fire:

file.php

Two small rivets, easy to drill out, smash loose and then another hit at the chassis to separate, good, time to see whats wrong:
Yes, your Landcruiser wants to do this, and it will:

I asked my 15 year old neighbor if he could bring me some steel from work, he brought a small 13x7mm plate :D to teach me to be precise in measurement, oke 130x70x4mm is what is needed:

Jack it up and weld, should be fine for another two years of roadcheck, that is 18-11-2019! :bounce::clap::beer: I was one month to early for the roadcheck.

This was at night, after I drove a offroad enduro with the motorcycle:

Tonight the last bit of ethical grinding and spray anti rust on it, then black tectyl.
Then clean up the absolute mess: three grinders, two welders (sticks/gas), two lights, one drill: 8 entangled electrical wires
