Sad day, had to put our 3 1/2 year old Lab, Finn to sleep this morning. Discovered a huge tumor in his abdomen (attached to spleen and other organs) on Friday, and he was going downhill very fast.
In the Cruiser for the Vermont run, shortly after we brought him home...
Just a few weeks ago...
No offense to our wonderful, 14 year old Lab mix Luna who keeps soldering on, but Finn was the best dog I've ever had, endlessly good natured and we trained him up well, he will be greatly missed, and hard to replace.

Dave- very sorry to hear about your loss. As a fellow dog owner I know their isn't much that can compare to the loss of a companion that will stick with you through the good and the bad. My thoughts are with you and the family

You both had tough decisions to make but you made the best one for your pups.

Guys, I'm very sorry to hear about the losses of your dogs. Dogs are the only family members who rarely complain and usually give back way more than than they take.
I miss all the ones that we've had that passed over the years and don't look forward to the passing of the one we have now. He's barely a 10th of the size of the 4 retrievers we've had in the past, but has a big place in our hearts just like the others.
