being a previous 3fe owner. I think his point is the 1fz is a nicer engine. that said with alittle work (3mm bored out throttle body, serviced injectors tuned headers, extreme valve body in the tranny, after market ignitions system (maybe) ported intake plenieum, the 3fe is as capable as the 1fz but not many people do all the performance upgrades or feel that they are toyota purist to do.

that's a little work!
 
not near as much as what it cost in parts to change the head gasket on a 1fz or the labor involved to do so.YOU might have the 1fz thing down but if like you have said a million times that the head gasket is a time bomb I would think a cheaper alternative would be doing the mods on a 3fe

Thought you just got a promotion??!! You leaving? Thats a bummer if that's how the job worked out. Every company is stressed beyond belief so unless you become a diving instructor in Fiji, I don't think anywhere is going to be less stressful these days......

I feel for ya. I have 4 big meetings this month (one was yesterday) and if I don't get some good orders out of at least 2 then I'm totally screwed. July will literally make or break me. Hang in there.

Supposedly that's still a go. Won't get paid on that till next April so need to keep the train moving until then.....:cheers:
 
I've just become a victim of the failing economy. Boss asked me to stop in this morning. Our district has mandated that our office has to eliminate my route and have the remaining routes in the office absorb the work. So 5 years of getting to know my customers is gone. (I lose my autoparts store) Once all of the adjustments are made a bidding process takes place and I have the option of taking the route of anyone who has less seniority than myself. Good part is I can grab a route that I had before and I don't mind doing.
Best part is this will make a full 8 hour day with the chance of getting OT to pay for Cruiser parts.
 
Good that I'll actually have 8 hours of work every day with the chance of overtime.
Bad that I really enjoy the route I have now. Made a lot of friends, get a good discount at the
auto parts store. I was pretty comfortable with where I was.
