neighbors house was broken into today threw there side doorits a good thing that my neighbor was not home cause he always has a gun on him, i walked around the house with him to make sure no one was still there and made sure to be behind him sine he had a Glock
people made off with a new nintendo Wee and some other stuff.
This does not sit well with me since this is a great neighbor hood and ever one watches out for each other. If we find out who did this there is going to a world of hurt coming down on them
i guess its time to install a good alarm
oh and when we called the cops it took them a solid 30 min to get here...pathetic

Where are you in Malden? I am in the process of getting my LTC A in Melrose. While getting fingerprinted, the detective mentioned that Monday was his last daym as the entire detective force was being demoted and has to reapply for their jobs. Right now, there are no detectives in Melrose. There's a new Chief and he wants to hire all new guys. He also said that there are about 6 break-ins a week in Melrose. Right now there is no one to investigate breakins.
I've already picked out a nice Smith and Wesson .40 handgun and I might just pick up a Bushmaster AR-15 rifle. At a rate of 6 a week , I figure my turns coming...hopefully it won't happen before I am armed or while I am away.
good for you, i should get my ltc too especially with all this crap going on. im at least getting a very loud security system put in so if some one breaks in they are not getting far since most of my neighbors do have guns and we all watch out for each other we kinda have to since the police are useless. It would not shock me if malden didn't have and detectives ether.

We could also go a little more legally and get about 20-30 of us to show up with signs saying "Ask how this place ripped me off" and other such stuff. Also maybe give the local news a call. Get him some bad publicity.
Still like the idea of winching the place off the foundation, talk about NEWS coverage! Might not be legal, but how many of us could they arrest before we rapidly escaped in our high speed land cruisers, especially if there's a way to go off the road. 
Picked up my Aussie H41 with attached 3spd case up in VT on Saturday. Mud deal with a guy from PA. He was going up to Rapo's in VT to buy his ToyBox etc, so I met him up there. Saved me a 12 hour turnaround. Also got a Jim C rebuilt carb and a dizzy for my other '78 40. Life is good! Hopefully will have it and a new clutch kit installed in my '78 40 within a month or so with a bit of help from Junior. Gary R had a front driveshaft that I needed after pretzeling mine at the FG and sweetened the deal with a quart of his home made maple syrup. He's up to 2000 gallons a year!
Will probably be offering my 4 spd and case sometime thereafter if anyone is interested. I'm in NH.

well, it looks like i might finally have my own driveway. papers are signed, inspection is tomorrow. this was one of the big motivating factors in moving to austin, to be able to buy a house with a yard and start a family. fingers are crossed, hoping that goes well...

yeah because i have such mad skillz? at least now i can do my own regular stuff to the truck and have a nice smooth piece of concrete to work on.
BMW drama is finally over. The mechanic skipped town with my $$$ about an hour after I gave it to him. He also stiffed a few other people, bailed on his rent, stole tools, and left some poor guy with a disassembled Chevy Blazer that is still sitting there. Car is dead. No hope of seeing a dime. Moving on a bit wiser and a lot angrier.
