I really don't want to go to work today!

$99 million

Bidding has ended:
"We really appreciate the time everyone is taking out of their busy schedule to send hate mail and also bid with money they do not have! This is a real auction, a legal binding agreement and that means you really have to pay! If you cannot afford to lean on the pen and sign a real check with funds behind it, this auction is probably not for you. Thanks for all your interest keep checking back to see this car and its buyer make history!"

John have you been sending in fake bids?

only -8 here

You guys factoring in the wind chill, cause we were between -35C and -38C at some points over the last couple of days. Been a while since we been that cold. The best part is they are announcing like +2C this week...talk about a wild swing in temp!!! (-40C = -40F)

what happened to global warming?

That was a fad.....so 2008!

Having a great day in the wine world today. Got a new distributor for my organic wines in DC, MD, and VA. Nice to have some good news on the wine front since I;ve been dealing with the Red Sox wine mess for months!

Starting a massive project tomorrow. We have a 900 sq ft room that is our living room with a bar, pool table etc. Spend 90% of our time there. There is wallpaper with a map of Detroit down one entire wall. Stripping that and repainting every square inch of the room including the vaulted ceiling. Should be a 2 month project.

If I don't do this now I'll be doing it in the Spring which means no good Cruiser time. Might as well do something while I'm doing nuthin'.

Yes, Detroit wallpaper. PO was a NASCAR nut and had car hoods screwed to the ceiling. Need to fix those holes too. Tired of the wife mentioning it constantly.....

Anyone wanna help? Will trade hours for wine, cruiser parts, help wrenching (I suck at that though)

I had a bit of a scare this week

For thiose who don't know I'm a field technician for an international company. My job takes away from home almost everyweek and I spend my nights away from home.

This week was like any other and I was working down in Fairfield CT.

Tuesday afternoon around 2:30 I used the bathroom and found that I was passing blood from my rectum.

This carried through the day and by 9:00 PM I had decided that I didn't want to be found dead in a hotel bed so I called the wife and head home which was 3 1/2 hours away.

Got home and went straight to the emergency room and got admitted immediately.

The next day I went through the prep for a colonoscopy and followed the next day with the procedure.

Turns out a bleeding polop and nothing really bad. Boy did it ever give me a scare.

Glad to hear that you are all right Rick. Scary stuff but you made the best choice to have it checked out.

Wow! That's scary stuff. Glad you're ok!!! My father had colon cancer twice so you can never be too careful.

I take it you won't be helping me strip wallpaper this weekend??

thanks guys. I actually feel great today, even did a service call in Boston.

For those nervous about this procedure it was painless and I even woke up early and watched the Dr remove the last three polyps. The screen was in front of me as he was behind looking at it and I thought for a minute I might reach out and point to something and ask "what's that?"
