So since I'm 35 I guess I have a life sentence.....could be worse!

my god traffic around here is horrid today grid lock everywhere took me an our and half to drive what should be 30 min errrrrrrr

My wife's Xmas present just arrived (US is working late apparently) so I think all I have left to do is a bunch of wrapping. Home until Monday now (Sara & Jack are home all next week as well, I work Mon & Tues).

Living large with the heat set to a balmy 65, whole family playing Lego Batman and enjoying the start of our minivacation.

Lane- What is customary to tip a mail carrier for Xmas? Do a lot of people still do this? What if you don't tip them?

$5-50, kinda depends on your income and what the carrier does for you.
You get a lot of packages then give them a bit more.
Most of mine are 5-20, my wife has a much nicer area and she has people who will leave
50.

Don't tip and your stuff gets sent to China!

65 DEGREES?!!!!!! I'll be over tomorrow to use that spare couch!
It's been hovering around 53 when we get up in the morning. We put in
a pellet stove in the basement but may re-think that and bring it up next
year. Haven't bought oil since Sept and we still have 1/2 a tank.

I have a different carrier every other day so that's why I was wondering...

I would'nt bother if your not seeing the same person on a regular basis.

(people tell us we are overpaid anyway)

Nat, I have Jim coming up at some point soon for his suspension work so I'd like to get your truck done and out of the way ASAP.

Dave, nobody, and I mean NOBODY, escapes the head gasket repair.

You two and everybody else have a great holiday!

It would be good to get a jump on this by tearing everything down if possible. We might find that we should do other things while in there. Besides, getting everything thing clean for reassembly is a big job done as well.

ordered all the parts today to do the head gasket just need to get the head off so i can send out the injectors and get bring the head to the machine shop to have the valve grind done

I finally have 45 minutes to myself. Mother in law and crew went for a drive. i stayed home. The woman has not stopped talking since she arrived on Tuesday. Literally hasn't stopped.

She constantly reminds me that I am not supposed to wear a baseball hat in the house. I constantly remind her it's my house and it's not 1930. This is 1% of what I;ve dealt with this week.

Wife and I are heading to dinner alone tonight while the MIL babysits. I think it will be a very long, 10 course meal plus dessert.

I usually love the holidays. I did get a cool book of a photo history on the automobile with hundreds of cars and tech specs. Very fun.
