We have about a foot of snow and it's still coming down lightly. Got the driveway cleared, fired up the 80 and took it for a few spins around our barely plowed neighborhood. No sweat, just churned up the hill like it wasn't there. :) I can't wait for spring.

Is my "diff lock" light supposed to be illuminated whenever I am in Lo?

the center diff lock will turn on when in low and the abs light will come on cause it shuts that crap off:hillbilly:

more snow, 8-15" on top of 9" yesterday. It is so light, it is like walking through soap suds. I plow 40 driveways. We will end up plowing 4 times and sanding once in the last week= more cruiser parts

Well baseball wines are officially dead barring a huge miracle. i hafta say I'm not really too sad. it's a bummer that the charities won't get much $$$ next year but it opens me up for long-term, viable projects. Still can't write down exactly what happened but I've written my terms down for the licensing people and I'm not negotiating anymore. Tired of being kicked around.

plenty of irons in the fire so I'll be ok for 2009 although those wines were essentially 80% of my business. I'm glad it's basically resolved so I can relax a bit and stop obsessing over it.

BRRRRRRRR, 13 below right now : (

Lane- What is customary to tip a mail carrier for Xmas? Do a lot of people still do this? What if you don't tip them?

OK, that was rough. The India guys did a great job on the project we sent but I can't understand a damn word they are saying. Good thing our correspondence will be mostly email.

Yea I know what ya mean, sometimes the BS of owning/operating a business isnt worth any ammount of money, I learn this every spring and forget it every winter. :D Even in this tough economy, I am going to be letting a few of my customers go because of the whining and complaining about the bills, etc (no quality complaints though  )I need to focus my energy on stuff that pays the bills with much less stress I have found

The old saying is 20% of your customers is 80% of your business. The 20% of my business that I've been ignoring has the lowest payoff in the short run but has the biggest long term potential. That 20% could become 80% if done correctly.

Gonna take several steps back to hopefully take a big step forward. I'll know if I'm screwed by June.

It's sink or swim at this point and I think Michael Phelps is a wuss.

I have been working for myself for thirty years. It took me about 15 years to figure out that some people are not worth working for. I show up to give a price on a survey, interview the person for about 5 minutes and sometimes walk away from a good sized job. It is hard to do, I've done enough jobs to size up a potential client to get a feel whether I should work for him or not. Whiners and slow payers get dropped in favor of people who appreciate your work. Sometimes you can stay home and do your own stuff and make more than working for other people.

Well, if your sinking by June give me a call, ill need another guy to chase a lawn mower around. :D

Honestly that seems like my dream job at this point! Exercise, getting a tan, chopping off my fingers....

Plenty of whiners and scumbags in the wine business. Tired of having to play along with them. Nobody wants to pay full price for anything so I have to inflate my prices so I give them a "deal" back to where the $$$ should be at. So many games.

Love to something else but what??!!?? At 35 you'd think I'd have figured out what I want to do.
