I got the lv registered yesterday and made huge progress on Sunday on the wiring thats to Jim. I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel

Got the crew cab magically registered in MA today then it magically s*** the bed on the way home. It drained an Optima yellow top battery so my alternator is being lazy....probably dead. I think the fuel line is clogged up as well...while I was jumping it the engine would kick with a spray of starter fluid but die after that burned off.
Not planning on sinking money into an engine set up that will hopefully be removed in a few weeks. Might not be bringing it to the FG.
This engine was supposed to be swapped out last week so I am extremely pissed off at the moment.

Are the engine mounts the set up the same as the Chevy you are going to put in? I though the holden was a chevy block. Maybe we could get it in there. Wrench day at your place on Saturday?
I really appreciate your offer and generosity like that never gets old!
Engine mounts are different. Wayyyy different. needs welding to get the new mounts to fit. It's way longer than a one day deal and I don't have the skills to do 80% of it all. Plus I'll need new exhaust done as well. The blocks are different in that it's all metric vs standard and the PO really did a hack job getting the motor and 3 speed to fit.
BTW, the 3 speed sounded like it was going to explode. Also, the vibrations were so bad in the truck it felt like I was driving on a washboard dirt road when I'm going above 40. Gave me a huge headache. Not sure if it's vibrations from the transmission or what. Had the tires balanced 2 weeks ago so that's not it.
Maybe I'll have it towed up there so I can be the ultimate poser......

Summers over and the FG is next week. Looked at the 10 day forecast and weather looks promising.
Put the soft top on the 40 today, so I can use it on these cooler mornings and evenings.

X2. Little pissed that I pay my bills on time and borrow what I can afford but I have to pay out thousands to bail other people out. 60% of the bad mortgages were written in Florida and California.....that really pisses me off.

pockets with these HUGE bonuses and severance packages and just walk
away. Nothing is ever done to them.
