Heading out at 8am so we have plenty of time to check out the new HoF/mall at the stadium, taking the wife, she's as big a Pat's nut a I am. It's also her birthday next week so I'm totally covered now. One of the other guys at work is going as well and taking his wife so we'll ride down together so I doubt we'll be able to stop over. Thanks anyway though.

Welding class
Last wednesday was the beginning of the welding class I signed up for.
It will be a 12 week course, 3 hours each class.
We will be covering gas, stick, Mig and Tig with the emphasis on the
Mig and Tig.
The class is being held at a local company called Filtrene which make high
end water filtering systems. All the welding stations have these huge Miller welders
and all kinds of cool tools. Most of their work is in stainless but they also do
aluminum, and bronze.
Class size is 8, with 4 of us over 30 and 4 kids. : )
One of the other older guys drove his sweet 64 Scout to class. My Grandfather had
given me his 64 so it was pretty cool to see this one, same color as mine!

Took the HJ up to Mt Washington. Freaked out my father-in-law. HJ ran fine all the way up in 2nd gear. When I started the truck for the trip down, it was sputtering and blowing more smoke than usual. At the bottom, turned the truck off and checked fluids. Nothing unusual. Started up and ran perfect for the trip home. No idea how diesels compensate for altitude, but wanted to see how she'd perform.
