Nice. Dunno what that guy was thinking going into the woods with those tires.

by the sounds of it that was there first time off the pavement, that winch blew that one guys mind
thanks for sharing

almost out of things here to do at the old job. last day tomorrow, a few lists to make, a few meetings to attend.

already getting work sent my way, which is comforting, feeling good about my prospects going forward

Nice! Sleeping late tomorrow?!

Here's a new brand design/concept I'm working on. Wine will be sold for about $9 a bottle.

Need brutally honest feedback...Does the devil girl design fit? Is it too cartoony? Should it be more evil looking or even more cartoonier?

I'm not a serious person and I think people take wine too seriously so I want to have some fun with this label.
wicked red front label- lo res.webp

I really like it. I think for the price point, and with the right marketing, the design strikes the right balance between serious and fun.

The color pallet in also good. Reminds me of Shepard Fairey's color pallets (cream, dark red, black) (not the design but the colors)

I like it but I think she should be more sexy.

That being said if its good wine I bet I could get my parents to buy a case. They just finished their last case and said they need to get another.

Posted it on FaceBook and got all sorts of responses. Mostly from women who didn't like it. They said it was too sexy and they wouldn't buy a bottle of it for "girls night" or to bring to dinner somewhere. Since women buy most of the wine in the world, I think I unfortunately have to scrap this label. Sucks.

Prolly end up with a plain label with just the words on it. It;s amazing how fast that type of stuff sells with no real imagery

Change the girl to a guy and you'll have a "girls night" hit and still pull off a wicked cool label. I like the design. Keep working on it!

Music night tonight, some eats and an acoustic open mic in Keene then about 9
we cross Main St. for the Blues Jam. Hopefully Ian gets on stage before 11. Can
be a late night sometimes.

Here are some other designs that I nixed.

I'm dumping the she-devil and replacing it with a pitchfork to see how that looks. Will post that up tomorrow.

I've never seen a beer style label on a bottle of wine so definitely going for unique. If I do the same as everyone else then I get the same results as everyone else.

Note: I already nixed the "wicked Cheap" part so don't stress over that. My design guy forgot to make it "Wicked Good" and just put "Wicked" on these.

Been talking to some distributors around the country and they love the concept.

:cheers::cheers::cheers:

I work with graphic artists often, and just want to say that whoever is doing your graphic work is damn good.

I like all of them, but like the last pitchfork and simplicity of "wicked" as a stand alone.

The designer is a buddy named Billy Nichols in TN. He's a professional booze label designer and is a vintage motorcycle nut. He did the 2 labels above in about 30 minutes just as mock-ups. His site is index. He does other doodling too if you need something designed

So if women buy most of the wine in the world, make the devil a guy.

EDIT: Randy beat me to it.
