ARB3420010 - $807.50 + Shipping (From Seattle or SLC)
(Update: Price was corrected by ARB, those that ordered already get the old price and ARB has agreed to soak up the difference, new orders are the $807.50)

We are now taking orders. Orders must be placed by Friday, August 31st. They arrive to the US later in the year. Call (801-563-1277) or email (info@cruiseroutfitters.com) to discuss an order and to get your name on one!

Any chance we'll see another run of these bars or can someone recommend someone that makes something similar for the 40?

I'm striking out on my search for a bar

Given the number of new applications entering the market and their rush to fulfill production on current stuff. I don't see it happening in the short term.

Anyone you might suggest to make something custom like that bar?

You could check with Dissent or Proffits, they've built some like that over the years.

Just curious to hear how many people would buy one of these if ARB were to make it avail again.

I've found a dealer in AU who has stated that ARB continues to periodically make production runs of this classic bar and they currently have them in stock.

Kurt, if ARB were to make them avail to the US again would you be interested assuming their were buyers lined up?

100%, we were the top seller of them. I’ve got a list of 10+ that would but immediately.

Great news @DeskJock, @1MOA, @jayp2 & others.

Long story short, I found a few more of these and they just arrived. We found an ARB store in Australia that had a few new-old-stock and were able to finagle to get them shipped to the US. First-come, first-serve. I'm still working on the pricing, I want to be fair but we had additional costs on these versus the pricing we had in 2018. I've seen them sell here on Mud and from private-party for $1500, I'm thinking closer to $1200 but need to verify my landed costs. LMK

I was less than a month into my ownership of my FJ40, and didn’t fully appreciate some of the enhancements one of the previous owner did.

I don’t know how I can cleanly install this bumper.

Suggestions on working around the Saginaw and bumper modifications?

My guess is you’d have to cut the welds that extend out and buy the stock brackets. The ones on the side of the frame are riveted if memory serves me right.

As @B1oodyBuzzard detailed, you'd need to modify what they've done to your frame. That said, it would be completely doable. The top plates are available new:

The side brackets aka "stays", would have to be sourced used or find reproductions, I think SOR was making those at one time?

Copy. The sales team won't have pricing until I have it, which is waiting on some shipping docs to figure out final pricing. We will reply to customers in a first-come, first-serve bases once we have a price and sell until they are gone. (2) are already 100% committed as they were OK with the pricing being ~$1200-1350 being our anticipated price. If that is OK for you, LMK and I'll put you as a confirmed and we'll sort details when we have them. Thx

I agree with you assessment and the point about extending the bumper out further.
The Saginaw install … any idea as to why it was installed that far forward?? (Not that it matters).

I’ve got some thinking to do.

Put me on the list, they took my name/number when I called yesterday

You could likely cut and weld the new bumper for less hassle than reworking the PS setup. Just a thought.

Ya. Thats the other thought - and keep the bumper being pushed out further then needed.

Is it safe to assume that you have sold all the latest bumpers?

Thanks,
Nick

Good question. I've been on the road and Chance @ Cruiser Outfitters has been handling those. I'll check in with him tomorrow. I think some have shipped.
