Had one of the Waldo's Special last night. It was everything I love about Lagunitas - very dark, sweet, fruity with massive hops and a bitter finish.

A good sampler from la case de Johnny. The hop burglar and imperial breakfast ales were great too. Ok and the triple c is no slouch.

Have you ever had a beer so Dank it was Mega Dank..... well I now have and it was the dankest dank that ever danked.... LOL
Actually it was pretty good. All of them were damn solid. The finger gun is in my top 3 session IPAs and the Pale made it to my top 3 for pales also... a great day yesterday for beer.
The Mjolnir was a pretty damn tasty imperial IPA also.

Somehow I forgot to post this.
A few weeks back I had a piece of property in near Yakima I had to go and inspect. If you are in this thread you most likely already know this but it bares to be stated again. Oregon, Idaho and Washington account for 98% of all US grown hops.... so just about any beer that you drink that is a US beer using us hops or even a foreign beer using US hops can be traced back to one of those 3 states. Now Yakima valley in WA by itself accounts for 77% of the entire US hop growth. So of course I jumped at the chance to go do this. I was a little pressed for time as the drive is still 2 hours each way but I did manage to stop at a local brewery in Yakima before heading back. I don't think i've ever been to a brewery that has it own hop field attached to it.
Bale Breaker owns this hop field and sells off what it doesn't use.... the entire valley had a hoppy smell to it even though hops are out of season right now. Their beers were awesome, their pale and imperial IPA were two of the best i've ever had. Soon i'll take a weekend to go out there and try out some other breweries and also go on some hop tours later in the year.

I'd love to be a beer farmer - - grow barley, rye, wheat, hops, etc. 
Couple around here. NC and CO can't get enough hops. I think both states require instate hops to meet some form of "organic" like classification for their beer.

Most hops grown and used for craft beer are for the most part organic.... the larger bud/miller fields tend to not be.
There are a few beers in NC that use NC only hops but tended to get bad reviews so far... Triple C and Noda did a few and I think burial still has one.
NC state is working up in mills river in conjunction with Sierra Nevada bringing all their hop experts to the table to try different styles. So far cascade, chinook and nugget do the best in NC but bring a different taste to the table. Mostly to do with soil and shorter days in the south (hops love sunlight in mild climates and the longer the day the better)
NC currently has 161 breweries which I think is 10th or 11th in the US. More impressive is that about 154 of them have come around since 2008 when the laws changed to make it easier for breweries to exist and also relaxed imports and alcohol content laws (although you are still stuck with the 15% cap on them)
I'm extremely glad I lived in NC during its (beer revolution) as it was great to see and enjoy.
6 years ago I wanted to go to all NC breweries (might have been possible) now impossible... even more so that i'm in the PNW.
Was discussing that with a friend at work the other day and she said, well now you can just visit every brewery in Washington, Oregon and California while you are driving up and down the coast visiting family. Not sure she realized that there are over 1000 craft breweries between those 3 states 561 (cali) 288 (Oregon) 363 (Washington)
But hey there is still hope... I can hit all of N. Dakotas in a day (9)

Going to start growing my own hops next year to put in my home brew.... maybe i'll develop a new strain called "Cruiser" lol

Had a new one from founders that I really enjoyed. Mosaic Promise. I didn't get a pic of the beer itself, didn't last long cause it was so tasty. I need to research this Mosaic hop strain, I've seen other breweries also come out with similar blends, like Unknown.

Well this is really great news. Now there will no longer be litter all over trails and throughout dispersed camp sites, just lots of little bits of America. And who doesn't love more America?

Had a few lately.
First was a few sent to me from some people in good NC
The Hop burglar was pretty good in fact one of the better citrus IPA's out there.
The Dark Age was pretty good also, not the greatest barrel aged stout i've had but not the worst either.
Next up had a few local flairs from down the road in Tacoma.
Both were incredibly tasty and incredible cheap.... something like $1.25 for a 16oz can... great value
Another Local one from Fremont Brewery in Seattle. The Seattle Comic Con came through the area about a month back and Fremont made this beer as the official comic con beer. Beer cave under my work had a few left over so got this one for incredibly cheap. An extremely potent and tasty IPA for sure.
Next was an unfiltered Imperial IPA from another local brewery.
All I have to say is unfiltered and you know it is good. lol
Also the head Lagunitas brewer was up here trying new hop strains and decided to do a Lagunitas tap take over at the craft beer store 2 miles from my house.... no pics of the beers as they were all on draft but he brought with him some brews that are normally brewery only.
A new citrus ipa they were working on, an alternative Waldo and a Lagunitas Maximus the II. Great guy and I even won a hat in the beer pong games. Playing beer pong with maximus is actually fairly hard after a few games.

Yes, been a few times. Really good stuff - in fact, the only Wake Co. brewery that has impressed me. It's less than 10mins from my house, and we have ridden our bikes there once. Went to the grand opening when Chatham Co. Line played (went with the Keefers too!) and the place was jammed. They did it right, nice joint!
