David's are y'all planning on doing a meal one night that week? If so I need a day. Also if you want to just lump in with the UC meal Friday night we can. That being said we need to start working on a menu. The UC meal is Friday night. That is the night the band will be playing. If you want to do a separate meal you need to get a day set and start working on a menu.

Okay David has got me thinking on this. What about doing a boil Wed or Thursday night?

Your down where the seafood is.
Someone could pick up a cooler full of shrimp, crabs, etc. right off the boat and be up hear that night.

Wed or Thursday wouldn't have the full force of the 200-400 people that will be there Fri- Sun. Wed- Thur should have around 50-100 people.

We just need someone that can go get the stuff and haul it across two state lines in 24 hrs. West bound and down.

I will have one cooker and a big pot there. I figure 2 more and we would be golden.

What say yea? Who's going to get this rolling so we can get the club some extra spending money?

You need to decide a date and get some costs together.

Not sure what the availability or prices would be for shrimp in May. I would suggest getting the shrimp off the boat sometime now if they are still good size and reasonable and then putting them up in ziploc freezer containers. I do this every year with 50# of shrimp and they are just as fresh thawed as they are when I get them.

Just a thought, and most of our crab legs are imported from the west coast. Now fresh fish would be the ticket if you could get a connection on some fresh Mahi-Mahi or Wahoo and King Mackeral. Now a good ole Charleston fish fry would suit me more than shrimp.

Anyone know what is running in May? I know Redfish on this board is a guide, maybe we could get him to catch us some fish and I can vacuum bag it for the fry.

Jeremy

Yeah, Shrimp are not in season in May. And I think the season is over already, but I'll check. I can put this together prettly easily, but lets see about the seafood first.
