Hey all.. I have searched and searched and haven't been able to see if anyone has the same issue as me.

1998 gxl 105 1fz aus delivered auto

I have c1256

Replaced pump motor, accumulator and done a rebuild on the master cylinder

Still beeping still next to no brakes still bringing up c1256

I've done air bleeding via scan tool manual bleeding and I'm at my my last nerve before I burn it to the ground.

Is there anyone who has any other idea or anything I can do or try

Thanks

Yeah I do, I'm all fixed now, do you have any brakes or completely nothing?

looks like classic failure . dash lit up like xmas tree and 2 mi later no brakes at all. I found the service manual on my PC ha! found the page to test the motor run so thats the next step. hoping i can find a bad relay or a bad motor. I hope not to pull the whole unit but looks awfully tight to get the motor off by itself. Finally, if I have to buy a unit I hope to find a rebuilt from this Andy Lee guy but cannot find an address yet. lx470 200k miles.

What did you find and what did you have to do to fix it?

Thanks!

I got

Motor - ebay was 150ish
Accumulator- patr store here in Aus 400
Repair kit - eBay 180

When I have some time later today I'll get part numbers for you

Bellow are screen shots for what I grabbed and also the mastercylinder bleeding that can be done without the scan tool,

There is a really good thread on here for the removal and repair of the cylinder rebuild kit, I can't remember who did it but its very helpful and amazing walk through with photos,

I also cleaned and blew air through all ports on the cylinder to clear any junk

Thanks for this fabulous post Brad. $753 and 4 hours work (after waiting for parts) and my son's Cruiser is all good again. :D

He was quoted $3500 by the local Toyota dealership.

Hi Brad, so what was it in the end that was the issues? you didn't say unless I'm missing something in one of the threads? I'm having the same issue and have replaced everything apart from the accumulator
