Just wanted to give a shout out here. In addition to all the help he has given me with all things land cruiser he "accidentally" helped me out with some other things. Most of you know he is always quick to help with advice or helping you find a part you need(or a whole motor) and that he has bent over backwards to do anything UC needed. You may not know he gave me some other advice that has paid off.
At GSMTR a couple of years ago someone (me) said "somebody should do a write up for Toyota Trails about GSMTR" so he says "go ahead". So I guess I volunteered. So I do the write-up and send it to him and he and his wife look it over and do a little editing/proof reading and the next thing you know my write up is in TT for the world to see.
I had never written anything and probably wouldn't have but since I did the
TT write-up I figured I'd give it a shot. Some of the magazines I look at that are work related ask for reader submissions. So I sent in one for the "it happened to me" section. Surprisingly the magazine bought the piece and wanted to see a resume. After I submitted that they said that based on what they saw they thought I may have some things to write about that may appeal to their readers. I submitted a couple more items and the bought those also. After breaking my back and being out of work for as long as I was I have been trying to dig out and anything extra helps .I won’t get rich doing these and I’m not sure how many I will do but the extra cash helps. In fact I probably wouldn’t be going to GSMTR this year if it weren’t for the editorial I did.
The first one is in the 2013 Glock Auto Pistol Annual Magazine on page 78. The other two so far are not out. My next one is the guest editorial that will be in the September or October Guns and weapons for Law Enforcement and the other one I have no idea which of their magazines it will be in but they have already confirmed they want to print it in one of their them.
