Gentlemen,
Wanted to thank everyone who has contributed to the 80 series forums over the last few years. The shared community knowledge has been a tremendous help for us. About 2 years ago I finally dove into the LC world. Following an 8 month search, we purchased a 94 FZJ80 in northern NM, and promplty drove it back to Central Texas on four balled tires. The body and chassis were in good shape and rust free. The previous owner assured me the truck had no oil leaks. Well, it had 7 leaks… which through the 80 series forums, and a few Youtube vids… I was able to fix each one. The truck is still currently a work in progress. Following a few mechanical repairs (front axe rebuilds, new ac, new shocks and replacing countless engine and drivetrain seals), we’ve sense repainted the 80 and added ARB bumpers both front and rear. It’s really turned into a labor of love, non of which would have been possible without this online community.
Thanks again to the 80 Series owners.
