went out for the weekend and did some wheeling in some serious mud and hill climbs. The A-trac is pretty crazy in the mud you can just pin it in 4-low and get through some gnarly deep, sticky mud holes.
I put on some 33" mud terrains and other than that all stock FJ. I couldn't find any hills that were a challenge but the ones we went up were scary as ****. very steep and rocky. Just kept the momentum up and let the A-trac work it's magic. it was amazing what we could climb. View attachment 74180
did some bushwacking in the alders and did some "alberta pinstriping" scratched the hell out of it. my neighbor with the shiny one must think i am stupid. putting it to the test will mean some cosmetic "improvements".View attachment 74181

Nice and dirty! Where abouts in Alberta were you? We're taking our silver FJ to the Beaver Mines, Castle Falls area this long weekend...

LOL "Alberta PinStriping" Nice!! no go bury it in some good old Alberta Muskeg!

Nice! My next objective is to find some trails! Looks like you had a blast!

How'd you mount your tools to the roof rack? Got any pictures...?

awesome pic SurfPonto!

Thanks singlespeed.

That was our first time there.
Moab pretty much defies description....

Long drive from San Diego but the FJ's cruise control really helped.:)

Already planning next years trip. Hopefully there will be some more FJ Cruisers next time. Didn't see any on the trails or in town.

Was stopped 5 or 6 times by people who wanted to know how the FJ handled etc.

When were you there? Cruise Moab was May 1-4 so you may have missed all the Toyota guys. There were 15-20 FJCs at CM06, including the Toyota Trail Teams with about 5 or 6. See the pics in the trail rides section. Lotsa FJC pics.
