I've a groom vline V1 and am very happy with it. Night and Day, nowadays I would not be able to live with the factory unit. It's just slow and I would not mind an upgrade if all the controls would work, specially the AC system.
Please someone come back and share a video.

Please share your opinion on original AC control. Did you loose anything ? Does it glitch ? Main concern for me is loosing AC because the radio is not working.
Mine is working great, if I could ever find the time to sit a customize it, I would love it even more. I have loaded Gaia and spotify and use them all the time. Tethering has been my best option so far for wifi, and i need to reload the carplay app that came with the unit( because im dumb)
I absolutely love this thing. It is a bit buggy and i have had to reset it twice now over the past few weeks, but I hear that an update from a few of the various sources will handle it .

Never had any problems with A/C control. Auto works the same, rear control, etc. Everything works. Every once in a while the unit freezes and needs to be reset, but the A/C remains in it's last state.
Anyone need one, I removed mine and went back to factory
Is it a PX6 or PX3?
I looked at your post history to try and find out why you are getting rid of it. Is it mainly because of difficulty seeing the screen in daylight and wireless CarPlay not being great? Or other issues too?

where did u get the "top model" wiring harness? my chinese supplier has sent me 2 harnesses that don't work for the AC controls. Neither looked like that one. I'm thinking that harness is my missing link.I have gone back and forth with the supplier of the unit I purchased on the included wiring harness for the 2003 model. I recently received a replacement that is a correct plug-in-play for the 2003. They referred to is as a "top model" application. Good news is it exists and works
I also purchased and installed their recommended back up camera at the same time.

Were you able to fix the sound and climate control? I am trying to install my unit but I am having the same problems you had.
