TEMPORARY Maxtrax mounting solution (1 Viewer)

I am looking for a Maxtrax mounting solution for when I am off-roading. I do not want to have a permanent mount for a lot of reasons, including UV degradation of the plastic, potential for theft, garage door clearance, etc.

Any suggestions? Am I crazy to think zip ties would do the trick?

i just use rachet straps for my rotopax for the same reasons

Somewhere in the last day or two I’ve seen ads for magnetic attachments for MaxTrax type boards. Made just for the reason you described.

I just looked this up. Looks like a cool solution, but it is pretty pricey. $235 in total.

If it were a perfect solution I’d consider it, but the website is clear that the magnetics really only work on large flat surfaces, like the side of a sprinter van. Not really my use case.
