Temperature Gauge Not working (1 Viewer)

For some reason the temp gauge in the original cluster in my 78' 40 series isn't working, all other gauges work great. My wiring harness was rebuilt by @Coolerman so I'm 99% sure the wiring is good. Aside from checking the connections is there anything else I should be checking?

With the key on, grd the lead going to the sender. If the gauge needle moves then it's most likely the sender.

Tried grounding the wire that attaches to the sender and can’t get the needle to move? Bad gauge?
