i know i've asked this question to some of you in person but i have a terrible memory, so how much lift does the f150 leafs give you i've been told the lift is about 4" for the rearand how much longer or how much do you have to move the hangers? also what years should i look for?

if not the ford then what years do i look for, for the chevy leafs and all the other info for those also?

i have to go look at the yard for a starter for my sister in law that is living with me for a while and while i was there see if i can find some leafs or other items that i can gather for later use on my truck.

They don't. I hit a tree about 5 inches in diameter with my ARB on my 80 and laid the tree down to the ground (flat). I slipped off a trail and was very happy it was up front. (my friends private land) no one upset or harm done.

Edit: I think you have to take the 100 series bumper all the way off (I am sure you know what is needed) . Sorry. I will leave this post up for any 80 series lunatic that takes down trees or clears paths with an ARB.

X2, they either work great or don't work at all. If you had front and rear discs and a lock on each end that maybe the next best thing. You can't gradually apply a line lock. It is locked or isn't so a half @ss working parking brake can still be useful.

What is the TLCA/ sanctioned event view on line locks? I thought I remembered discussion on line locks a while back but don't know of an outcome on it.

well i found a really cheap way to install rear disc but the calipers dont have a way of installing a parking brake so i was thinking of setting up my brakes diagonally(front driver and rear passenger on one side of master cyclinder and the other two on the other side) and putting two line locks.

will stay far far away from your rig if you put bias braking on it!

i personally have never sen a bias brake system on any hwy vehicle.

Volvo does split its brake master but you have 4 piston front caliper rear 2 piston one hydro circuit supplies fluid to 1/2 the clamp force on both front & one rear if you have total failure of one circuit the other still gives both front brakes with one rearwith greater applied pressure of course

I am in my head trying to figure out what you would want to set it up diagonaly like that. Seems like one pair would be over powered comepaired to the other pair. Pluss you would be suplying the same pressure to one front and the oposite rear and that would seem like it would make the higher powered rear lock up when the weight transfers forward under braking.

you would use two manual propotion (sp?) valves in the back, but in theory if you have like one brake line failure you would still have proportiate braking although weaker. other than that dont know any other pros or cons. it sounds like im on a wild goose chase.
