What about Holiday Ham? They may be too chainy for you.

Get you 4 lbs of BBQ and trimmingz..call it a day. Can't go wrong with Q....even with the Hebrews in this city.

Had a "Memphis Dawg" from the Memphis Dawgs cart. Its his signature dog with slaw and his homemade honey bbq sauce. Me an' the boy had two each. Two dirty thumbs up.

Second trip to Hog and hominy. .

I could not understand a thing on the menu. I ended up with greasy pizza again for $35

Screw that place

$35??

The pork belly sammich with house chips and a water is $10 + tax/tip.

Agreed on the menu. You gotta speak uppity Southern hipster and google the ingredients to cypher it. And then have the server explain it.

$16 pizza. $8 hefeweizen. $12 crappy Cabernet Franc.

So more like $40 with tip.

Problem with Cam's idea is they didn't have that on the menu when I was there....too many other awesome places to eat at.

I see what had happened... I went for lunch, y'all went for dinner. They have different menus for each. Oh well.

On to the next one!

Had a French Dip the other day at this local joint called O'Charley's. I know, not so much local, but that thing was friggin' great! If you're in a pinch for somewhere to eat and don't know where else to go, try this sammy. Won't disappoint (except it was $10.99....)

Blasphemy.

Take-out from the Crazy Noodle on Madison across from the Blue Monkey.
Korean food. Highly recommend.

Finally got around to going to the Second Line. Well worth a visit. It is first come first serve seating, so get there either before 6 or after 9 if you don't want to wait. Better than waiting 2 months for a table at Iris.

This is the place next door to Iris. Both are owned and cheffed by Kelly English.

I was too busy eating to take pictures of the food.

Awesome suggestion. I had the sausage, crawfish cheese fries, the chicken poboy and cheese grits. Also, 2 hefewizens. Awesome, awesome, awesome meal. $40 out the door with tip. Could have fed 2 people EASY off that. I ate 1/2. No lines and lots of openings on a cold wet Monday night.

The superbly hot bartender told me of a good mexican place on Summer near 240....forgot the name
