I have a 100 with tan seating, and I am looking for a 200. Would like to go with tan again, but I expect the
200 will get more wear than the 100 did.

Can anyone comment if both colors are well maintained, cleaned etc., is wear more noticeable on the tan vs. black in the 200 series?

Been looking at these for a while and I very quickly decided that I'd go black ONLY on used 200s and LX. The Tan seemed to show a ton of wear on the driver's seat in particular.

I have a 2011 with almost 70k with tan interior. Besides some normal wear and a s*** ton of use I'd say it's still very clean. Although it needs to be cleaned because I've never done it yet, it's not bad at all.

There has been much discussion about whether the material in the US spec 200's are actually leather. Whatever material it is...I can say without any hesitation that it holds up far better than the definitely-leather material in my 100. I, too, had tan seats in my 100...but I am 100% sold on the dark grey seats in my 200. Neither light, nor dark crud stands out on dark grey, and I think it looks better between cleanings. All in all though...I think you'll find the material on the 200's seats extremely durable--whatever the heck their made of!

I have dark grey leather in my LX570. At 92k, there is minimal leather wear, no stains whatsoever, and it looks impeccable. A friend of mine with a GX460 at 50k miles commented how much better quality the leather on the 570 was compared to his.

Aside from a few "puncture" wounds on the back of the rear seats stemming from hard hauled cargo items in the rear, it sure has stood up to test of time.

The black interior was a no-go for me due to a 2 yr old and another on the way and our husky.

The late model terra interior sure is pretty, but too much black carpeting and trim to work for our crew.

i have tan interior and i can say at 46K miles it still looks brand new. I wanted a silver 200, however i didnt want black interior. I have a car with black leather and sold a 2014 silverado with black interior. It was constantly smudged with sunscreen from my kids and always looked dirty. Not to mention it was hot. The fact that i wanted tan interior is why i bought a white truck. I could have gotten an LX570 that was silver with tan, but didnt want AHC.

I have grey with black interior. Black is very classy. Love it and never want a kid in my LX570;)
i agree. Black looks the best. It is just about 10yrs before i can have another truck with black interior, unless i just want to be cleaning it all the time.

I was undecided on my preferred interior color, but I generally hate black interiors. I was more concerned with maintenance history and rust, colors were lower priority. Never thought I would buy a white vehicle, but now I really like it.

So my tan interior was rather dirty when I bought, but some time with my steam cleaner has made a huge difference. I used a lot of Chemical Guys leather cleaner, several passes with a stiff brush, and it really looks great now. Watch some of the videos on YouTube from AMMO NYC, the guy is really good.

I agree with @Markuson that this leather seems more durable (and that comes from owning 4 Lexus cars), I am pretty fussy about keeping the truck clean so I have no concerns about longevity. The seats in my 200 are in better condition at 110K miles than the ones in my wife's 45K IS250.

I have a white/tan 2013 LC, and intentionally found a tan interior truck as it stays cooler in the summer and is far less oppressive inside versus the tomb of darkness you get with black. 69k miles, yes the driver's seat shows a bit of wear, but I did leather conditioning about 2 months ago and they still feel great, no actual tears in anything yet. We have 3 little boys and use all 3 rows and thus far over 20k miles in a year it's survived.

It's a shame tan isn't available anymore, especially on the carpet and headliners of the 16+ trucks.
