Tacoma wheels on fj40 what size spacer

What size wheel spacer are you guys running on your fj40 to clear the tie rod?

For a 2006 tacoma wheels?


And are you running a spacer front and back or just front?

don't worry about the back, unless you're running 12.50 tires.
in the front, I bought a deep dish rim to clear tie rod. I could've used 1/2" or more of a spacer. I'll get matching rims, and possably Rough Country spacers sometime in the future

Taco wheels should be 16" I mounted my taco wheels on my 40 without any spacers. I also have disc brakes.

Yeah they are 16 but they are rubbing by the ball joints.

Dont you have to mill out the center of Taco rims for the front axle?

I'm running 17 taco wheels on my 76 40, it's soo tight in the rear, but im running 295 tires, so i guess that didn't help much, i have 1 inch spacers, front is ok but almost can't flex or the tires rub the tub in the back.....so bad.....:/

My brothers Tacoma has 5.5 back space.

I'm running 17 taco wheels on my 76 40, it's soo tight in the rear, but im running 295 tires, so i guess that didn't help much, i have 1 inch spacers, front is ok but almost can't flex or the tires rub the tub in the back.....so bad.....:/
