To figure out which tcase you have. Go here

That'll tell you if you have a 4 speed or three speed tcase. if you have the three speed tcase, the newer models are significantly stronger than the older 60s units.

I am curious to know what happened to your stock parking brake tho. When you do the rebuild, I'd make sure it goes back on.

BTW, what is supporting the transfer case? Your third pic shows the mount under the adapter that is supposed to have a crossmember under it.

Is there another crossmember that is not represented in the pic? If it's one of the AA propeller style mounts, that may be the main reason you are leaking between the tcase and the C4.

There is no reason a properly sealed Ferd (or cruiser or chevy) motor or transmission should leak. In fact, a leaky tranny can cause huge issues if enough fluid leaks on the exhaust system. From your text it sounds like the only leaks you have are gear oil, is that correct? No tranny fluid or motor oil?

Can we see pics of the rest of the "hurst" tcase shifter? It looks to me to be a stock shifter that someone tried to mount to the C4. I'd bet that just mounting the shifter is a slightly different position would solve that concern.

You can also talk to Georg (Orangefj45 on here) at Valley hybrids about a tcase rebuild. He does good work and is located in the stockton area. He also may have the necessary parts for a stock pbrake.
