I picked up this switch from Specter and I want to relabel and use as a compressor switch on my 80 series. Would anyone happen to have a wiring diagram handy or know what each of the wires does?

come on, one of you electrical gurus MUST bite!

do you own a multimeter?

I do but I'm still learning electrical stuff :) If you have pointers on how I can figure this out, I would be grateful...

I'm guessing the 5 cables do the following:
- ground
+ to the switched item
+ input
+ for to dash lighting at night
not sure on the 5th?

Now just to find out what the 5th does and what wire is which?

Thanks in advance,
Phil

black = ground
red = constant power
yellow = (should) be illumination
white = switch
blue = auto illumination (when a 62 is put into lo range it automatically engauges 4wd)

now i could be wrong on this... but all ya have to do to test it tho is give it (the switch) power and ground then in your case ground off your arb compressor and try each of the 3 wires (blue, white, and yellow) 1 at a time with the switch off then switching it on and see which one turns it on. once you find that your done.

Thank you! I'll give that a try as soon as I can!

what I have been able to find from my testing so far:

Black: Ground
Red: Constant +
Blue: Switched Power

I found out the switch is missing a bulb, so I'm looking for one to replace it with and test the other two.

Thanks,
Phil
