Swirling noise normal?

Hello. I am looking at a 2013 with 68k. Soon after I turned it on, I noticed a swirling/swooshing noise resonating from within the dash. AC on or off same sound. From what I read, it could be a cooling fan going bad. It was constant and not subtle.
Does this sound like something normal? Are the 200's cabins super quiet?

Cool box on? Just a hunch, but try turning the cool box off and see if the noise goes away.

Cooled seats? They can be distracting also.

Air in the cooling system would be my guess.

Thanks everyone. I got a call and supposedly it's the AC compressor. It's a Carmax deal so not too sure about the diagnosis. We'll know on Wednesday

Must be a bearing in the compressor if it makes the noise either on or off. If so, I think that's the first 100 or 200 compressor I've ever heard of failing. I've seen the systems develop leaks but don't recall compressors going tango uniform on the recent platforms.

Interested in seeing the failure. My 200's compressor has (probably still is) been covered in mud, dust, dirt, dead animals and still works like a charm.

Have you checked the PS fluid? If that reservoir runs low or dry you'll hear a gurgling.

It’s official. Compressor bearings is what the salesman claims (per mechanic).

They supposedly replaced the compressor and Freon. I will test drive tomorrow

Hopefully they put winter freon in and not summer freon.
