Sorry but this is strictly for the state park crowd. Any real trail and you will destroy the low hanging fruit. Fuel cans near the work service, someone will inevitably set up a camp stove and cause a fire or explosion. Zero recovery capability. If you are stuck you will need to unload that rack to get to the receiver. All that effort spent on the design, the Traeger mount and the silly umbrella is over the top.

Who would haul all that crap out on a trail more difficult than a forest service road.

This will be mounted to the frame, edges Will be cleaned up and everything powder coated. 3 roller bearings for a smooth swing.

Is that stainless or just really clean steel tubing? Looks really good!

Thanks r2m, its just really clean steel, debating on the coating. Originally I was going to use bed liner but now I may paint or powder coat it. Hope to make good progress today on it.

I vote powder coat, bedliner looks terrible in a few years, it fades (regardless of UV protectant) and the textures traps dirt and becomes difficult to properly clean it.

Getting closer, have to change out the hub. I guess it’s cast steel because I broke the spot welds on it. Glad it broke now!

What a view, I’m jealous! Thxs for the compliment, i wish I could weld at a higher level but that would take practice time that I don’t have. Can’t wait to finish it up this weekend and get it to the powder coating

Wow!! That looks awesome! Great job!
It looks like you may be able to squeeze your backup light, without the red reflector below, back into the socket you used for the hinge. You may have to do a little fabricating for it to work and still have easy access if you need to get the hinge bolt.
Regarding the rear camera, I had to remount my rear camera when I added my rear bumper with the swing-out. I first used an old USB cable since it had the same number of wires as used for the camera, but the wires were such a small gauge, the video was horrible and spotty.
So I went to the hardware store and purchased some medium gauge 4 strand wire and it works perfectly.
So for mounting, figure out where it should be, then you'll probably have to fabricate some sort of mount and maybe a housing, I didn't use a housing since the factory camera is already weather proof.
I forget what year your rig is, but my rig doesn't have the fancy limit lines on my factory backup camera, but if you don't have those backup limit lines on yours, this may be the time to upgrade to a camera that has them! Just a thought...
