Hmm, my LX is lifted with E rated tires and is pretty lux... Rides better than my moms Audi. If I wanted a rough ride I would have stuck with my dodge.Did the OME, love the quality, rides like a solid 4x4, love it. If anyone cares about luxury ride I question their purchase of a full size body on frame SUV.

What do you attribute this to? Think its the bigger wheels/tires on the 06 making it a crappier ride?So far, I have owned two different 100 series. My first one was a 2003 and my current one is a 2006.
On the 2003, I installed 30mm spacers in the rear, new OEM (Toyota) shocks on all four corners, and cranked the torsion bars to help level it out. I also installed an Air Lift air bag system for when I tow our expedition trailer. I put Cooper AT3 LT 285/75/16 on 16" Toyota rims. The truck had steel front and rear bumpers. I love the way the truck rode, both while towing and also around town.
On the 2006, it came a Slee medium 1.5" lift (OME 865 rear springs and OME shocks all around) and I run Cooper AT3 285/65/18 on 18" Toyota rims. I have installed an Air Lift air bag system, but so far it has popped two bags. The truck has factory bumpers, and basically carries the same stuff as the 2003 did.
I am not happy with the suspension in the 2006. The fact that I have popped two air bags is frustrating, not to mention I went on a run this weekend (without the trailer) and I dragged my back end several times (fortunately 90% of the time it hit the trailer hitch).
If I had to do it over again, I would stick with the system in the 2003. I realize the OP does not intent to offload or tow, so he could probably skip the Air Lift air bag system, otherwise I really enjoyed that setup.
Forgive the question but are the rear spacers installed by shops with special spring compressors or is the installation more lengthy with a rear axle drop?
