Hey Guys

Scored a brand new Superwinch Exp 10 with synthetic line for an unbelievable deal ... like the cost of a harbor freight special kinda deal!

Ive never run anything but Warn and this winch has bottom bolt holes, none on the front.

Leads me to believe it needs a winch cradle ... has anyone on here run this winch in an ARB bumper?

If so how did you mount it?

Thanks

Maybe I haven't owned enough of them, but my Warn winches have not had any front-mounted bolt holes, just bottom-mounted. As long as the bolt spacing is the same, you should be able to install the Superwinch with the feet pointing forward in the ARB, like any other winch. You just have to clock the clutch release lever to where you can reach it.

the 8274 is feet front mounted, but the rest of the warns are feet down mounted. With the ARB bumper, you have to rotate the gear selector 90 degrees as the winch is mounted to the front of the bumper. Can the end of the superwinch be rotated?

Yeah I thought about that, but this unit doesnt have anything to clock.
Its also has some nifty features on it like power ports etc that id like to potentially utilize in the future, so keeping it upright would be ideal

Here is a pic of the winch for reference

edit: Pic above ^^ shows the 12,000, mine is the 10,000 but the profile looks identical

I got curious. You're in luck. They designed it to mount feet down or forward and the gear train can be rotated.

6. Note: EXP Solenoid Box Relocation Kit may be required for your installation. See Superwinch part S103396."

It looks from those diagrams on page 12 that they are showing 2 different types of winches.
However they do show an "L" type bracket that I wonder might work.
I need to look closer at the winch and see if anything can be loosened and clocked, i'll report back on this

Meanwhile, I've emailed both Superwinch and ARB to see what options are available

I didn't realize that winch had an integrated solenoid. ARB bumpers aren't really designed for that type of winch. I suppose you could weld a plate to serve as a winch cradle, like in this thread.

Thanks for the link. I have no problem doing that if needed. Hopefully there is an easier option put out by ARB or Superwinch!
