I think it's not legit. Just saw same posting in Toledo's craigslist. A little too good to be true.

A $48k cruiser (sold on eBay few weeks ago) for $4k - yea nothing fishy there. The fact that people aren't 100% sure these are scams is scary - guess they are effective but it's just so obviously a scam not worth the time to email.

i think your all in denile and don't know a good deal when you see it. I'm going to email the guy right now and buy it sight unseen by sending money via wire transfer and prove you all wrong. ill bet when i tell him I'm sending $ he'll even offer to ship it free of charge, fill it up with gas and include a free brand new soft top.

It is a scam, the scammers steal images from legitimate auctions, on ebay and craigs list, then they offer them at rediculous prices, when you respond they send you a link that if you click on it they will take you to a site that looks just like ebay or craigslist home, they will say that they can offer guaranteed delivery of the vehicle through a third party if you will wire the money to a third party account. The third party holds the money until you are satisfied with the article. None of it is legit and they have been running this scam all over the country, the FBI and Homeland Security is all over this and it is run by offshore people. They scam people on craigslist into opening the wire accounts like it is a real job. Then they collect the money and forward it offshore. beware!
