I've been struggling with a leaky sunroof for a while. I've done the drain cleanout, etc. The last time I got a carwash, it leaked and ran down into the courtesy light. I dried it out and went about my business. Now, the sunroof tilt switch on the left works, but the sunroof open/close switch doesn't do anything. I checked the fuses, which should be fine, given the left sunroof tilt switch works. Any advice on what to check next? I want to open it so I can try to clean the drains out again.

Sucks man. I have many things to address as PM, this is the reminder i needed!

Did you locate the source of the leak?

I have not found the source of the leak. Currently I'm trying to fix the ability to open/close the sunroof so I can clean the drains again. I found this thread again looking for a fix. I disassembled the overhead console assembly and sprayed the buttons with contact cleaner, but it didn't fix it. I may try spraying the large molex connector assembly next. Does anybody know if I can it with the power still connected?

When I first got my '10, the sunroof leaked and ran out the roof console thing. After taking down the headliner on the passenger side a bit I found that the front right drain hose had come off the nipple. I glued it back on and checked the other 3. No leak since, might try looking there. Good luck. Mitch

Thanks, that sounds like a good idea.

I’ve heard of people using waterproof tape and sealing the edges of the sunroof and then Pulling the fuse so it no longer tries to open and close. Might be a quick fix if you are not using the sunroof.

I am one of those people that dislodged or perforated a hose during cleaning and decided to ‘fix’ the problem by vinyling (wrapping) over the sunroof. No more leaks! I went big time recently and cut the vinyl off of the glass center section, so I now have moonroof capability.
