Thanks to John for his work on the tranny and transfer case, they are now installed

Yes, thank you John! We had a small but productive turnout on Sunday. John Smith, Ethan, Tom and I managed to stab the tranny/transfer into place. Ethan also diligently cleaned and assessed the condition of the rear driveshaft. We also took a fairly thorough inventory of engine and driveline related parts we have or have determined are missing. We have most of the parts needed to set it up with the Federal emissions configuration, however unless someone donates a 76-79 CA exhaust manifold, it will probably be raffled as a trail truck.

Next up, installing the brake and fuel hard lines and maybe the exhaust before setting the tub and installing the P/S box (need to wait to align it with the steering shaft).

If you have the need to make new brakeline flares, I have a great hydraulic tool for that.

Will a 1980ish model not work? I have one off of one of my 60s.

Can you post a pic?

Do we have brake lines and or fuel lines ? Sounds like they are next in line . Pretty soon the tub can go on

We've got shiny new brake lines and the original fuel lines, plus Tom's magic bucket o' bolts so we should be all set. We still need some soft brake lines....hint, hint, hint in case anyone has some lying around.

I think I have some laying around. I'll check

I might be wrong about this but I believe John Smith determined we have most of the parts to put it back to CA specs but are missing at least 2 major parts the proper CA spec exhaust manifold and smog pump. As far as parts to do Federal, we really have none. I thought we had determined to desmog it send it out as a trail truck and box up all the smog stuff we have and send it with it.
On the bright side it does have a cat on the exhaust that came with it.
As far as brake lines go we have a complete set of stainless hard lines and need new soft lines.

Work day starting at nine,New radiator hoses and a fuel filter are here thanks to Lowes Toyota . 25% off and free shipping from a mud vendor and great guy to deal with. Look them up on mud.

Don't know what he had at gsmtr, the guy to deal with is Sam Stewart, he is the parts manager and is very easy to get in deal with. Had my parts in two days. The in stock stuff

Sorry couldn't make it my daughter was up all night sick
Did get the pedel bucket and pedals cleaned up need to get some black paint and get them shiny again.

Sunday the 16th we are going to mount the tub. This will require more helpers then we have had lately. Please post up if you can make it. It will not be a long day. Thanks

I will try and make it.

Here is some pics of the manifold I have.

We have a smog pump. It was recommended that instead of the 40 Series CA spec manifold, we source a 60 series 2F set-up instead. Easier to find parts for, covers all the necessary emission functions, and apparently is compatible if you get the manifold and down pipe that matches. Something to look into anyways.

Let me know it may take me a little while to get the time to go out and get the manifold and junk off the 60. If someone would like to come help I'd appreciate it.
