Hey who wants to run Chiva this sunday. My buddy Doug finally finished his K-5 rebuild. He dovetailed the front and back, raised the rockers, fully caged it, new seats, new orange paint and he's ready for the inaugural run. His brother will be going in his rockcrawler Cherokee and a couple others maybe. Don't let me be the only Toyota out there!! I just put new tires on my rig and I'm itching for a test run as well.

Not sure of the time yet. It's either going to be 7am or 8am at the far east Tanque Verde Circle K. CB-4.

UPDATE
***OK its 7am at the Circle K***

See ya in the morning

So there I was, the only Toyota in a sea of Jeeps.
There were about 8 or 10 rigs. 1 was a SAS Durango on 37's, Dougs K-5, and my Toy were the only non-Jeep rigs. Had a great time! Lots of water flowing. Dougs first run out in his newly redone K-5 didn't go so well. We were running the creek toward the pools and he smacked something good and put a hole in his transmission. No more workey the K-5. We got him outta the creek and continued on to the pools for swimming and lunch. After all that we had tow the K-5 out. I didn't bother takin any wheeling pics, but I did get some of Zoe.

Oh yeah, the new tires performed quite well!

WOW! What's that stuff in the background?

I tell ya what bro, once the 60's finally done (someday) you're gonna have to lead a run out there. Water flowin like that in August has got to be an awesome thing to see. It's been a long time since I've hit any water in the rig.

Right above that little waterfall is a huge, deep swimming hole. The pool below the fall was about 5' then gradually shallowed out. Water has been running pretty well up there for a few weeks now.

This time of year is good back there. There are actually a series of 7 pools behind Zoe.

This was about 1/4 - 1/2 mile downstream from those pools....a few yards upstream of the confleunce of Juaquin and Tanque Verde Canyons.
