Have been looking for a while for one of these machines. They can be quite spendy. Ended up picking one up off CL. Been spending the past couple days getting it cleaned up. I'm going to use this thread as an area to download all info I can find on these machines. I've got a rotunda one sitting in my garage...my father dropped it off when he moved. I've never used it though. Haven't done a whole lot with distributors...

Allows you to verify distributor advace. Which in turn allows you be able to recurve distributors.

My main goal is to allow me to make sure every distributor I send out gets tested and is up to par.

Later on after I get a hang of tuning I'll start doing recurves.

Man I have not seen one of those in years, Used to change the vacuum advances and some had the set screw in them to adjust it. grind down the throw weights and calibrate etc with that unit. Pretty useful tool in its day.

what model? the care taker at my friends ranch has one collecting dust in the barn... Would be cool to get it fired up and functioning.

MD-1. Which is an old one. But heck the newest one is like 30 years old. Mine is around 50 years old.

Turn on the lights next time you shoot a video so we can see the thing. Although I am sure you wanted them dimmed to show us the cool "firing lights". It looked like the LCD display said 40; does that equal 4000 RPM?
