Howdy All-Thought I'd post some pictures of the summer roadtrip in the 60...started out headed for Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Pike's Peak...well, had a setback in South Dakota in the middle of nowhere...blew a head gasket...

The good- I've got a new head gasket and the truck is running better than ever...the bad $1700 plus a major revision in our travel plans...

So trip was derailed slightly...rented a van and kept on going....

Ended up seeing Devil's Tower in Wyoming, Mount Rushmore/Black Hills, Deadwood, and Badlands National Park with some other stuff mixed in along the way...

That's one awesome road trip! Sucks you blew a headgasket. Glad it all worked out.

What was the MPG on the interstate?

about 15 mpg...we were really loaded down though

My family took a very similar trip from Ohio back in the 80s. We were in a Lincoln Mark V.
