Our next DLC club ride will be at Stoney Lonesome Offroad Park Saturday August 11th. From Birmingham, it's about an hour drive up I-65, off exit 299. I've attached a PDF of the park map that shows the trails and trail ratings. They have plenty of green and blue trails to keep us busy. The park has a lot to offer for beginners as well as moderate to advanced riders.

We will meet up at Chickfila on exit 267 off I-65 (Gardendale area) for breakfast at 8:15am and then ride up together like we did on our last ride to Talladega NF. Plan is to be at Stony Lonesome by 9am to rendevouz with Heart of South Cruisers out of Huntsville.

Lastly, I'm hoping to have some options for a DLC logo by this time and will get everyone's input on what we should move forward with. T-Shirts, stickers, swag, etc to follow...

Look forward to seeing everyone there.

I hope it's OK with everyone here, but a contingent of HOT South Land Cruisers out of North Alabama are planning on coming out to meet us at Stony for this ride.
I was out at Stony yesterday to recover a Jeep buddy after slashing a tire, so I trailered him home.

Ya'll let me know if you guys would like some Cullman locals to give us a guided tour of the park. They know ALL the honey holes out there. And even though I've been going to this park since it opened... They STILL put me on trails I've never seen... It's a whole lot more fun than being totally lost out there and not hitting any cool trails. And I'm talking trails that EVERYONE would feel comfortable on... no "oh crap" moments... If anyone wants that, then we can split into two groups.

So lemme know about these two things!

There is a really good little BBQ restaurant on the way to Stoney at exit 299 also. IIRC it’s called Pops

Rosh and I were just talking about Hot South Cruisers joining and he sent out an email to the group asking if they want to join. The more the merrier!

Eric that sounds awesome if we can have some locals show us around. I’ve only been up there a few times and always seem to get lost.

@bamabrock plan is to meet up in Bham at 9am and get to SL by 10:30am. We can meet earlier in Bham if we want to all grab breakfast before we leave.

I’d suggest gassing up before breakfast and accelerating breakfast to get in the park. It is a huge area.

I agree.
I also don't think I'll be able to get anyone that late. Folks tend to like to ride in AM and then after lunch. Not really DURING lunch. If we get to the park at 10:30, we'll get checked in and tires kicked... it'll be lunch time before we're rolling. I don't guess there's any way to be at the park before 9 is there?

Anyone have a map of the park?? Trails difficulty levels, route ...etc? Im down with whatever trails you want to take.

Earlier sounds good, won’t be as hot too.

I included a map of the park in my first post.

Have you guys landed on more like 9AM to arrive at the park. I told the H'ville guys 10:30 so just need to confirm and let them know.

The 1st Annual 70 Series Meet & Greet was held at Stony Lonesome. Fond memories. :)
