Hi all, just thought I would send out a message to the cruiser heads, that my 1983 FJ60(converted to 3B/5spd) was stolen last night at 8pm-9pm from Ethical Addictions coffeehouse in Abbotsford, BC. It is Tan in colour and is a very clean truck from Colorado. Specs are:

Stock Tan colour (very clean and almost rust free, no dents)
stock chrome rims
33x10.5 mud terrains(siped)
OME lift susp.
4:11 gears
New 2-1/2" exhaust front to back
New headliner from Specter
New Alpine Stereo
No carpet under front floor mat area
Aussie style mirrors
Stickers on rear windows - "Rock&Ice", "Arc'teryx", "Colorado mtn biking Adventures"
Thule roof rack (no rocket box on it currently as seen in the bottom photo)
Other than that the exterior is stock
323,000km on the odometer

I am sad but you never know where it will show up. However I just filled up with 75l of diesel and last tank got 700km, so they could have driven quite far.

Thanks
Joel

I'm sorry to hear about that, I'll keep my eyes peeled. I've seen that cruiser around here, very nice. I hope it turns up for you. G/L

We all hope you get it back. I'am thinking you wished you had a winch on the front in that way cool picture # 2.

I'd be very interested in the long term outcome of trying to get your rig back, please keep us updated & good luck.

I'll keep an eye out in the vancouver/burnaby area. I'm heading up to whistler this weekend and will look there too. I'll print out the picture and pass it around. Between everyone on here, I'm sure there's a good network of people to help.

It's happen quite a few times where a stolen rig is found by another member of a board/forum.

Sad to hear and hope you get it back in good condition and little/no damage.

Thanks guys, the best chance of getting it back is thru this network. I am not looking forward to what ICBC will give me($) for it if it doesnt show up. I will get screwed out of years of hard work.

For updating purposes, yesterday my friends wife was sure she saw my truck driving down Hillcrest rd in Abbotsford. She was unaware at the time that it was stolen, so of course nothing has come of the spotting. Last night Mission RCMP called me saying they had arrested a guy that was carrying my wallet. ALL of my Visas and cash was still in the wallet!! Friggin stupid criminals.

I have the winch sitting in my shop.....and on many occasions wished i actually took the time to finallly mount it!! Oh well, I still have the winch!

Bump.

Nothing up in Whistler or Squamish. I had my sister spread the word and she has mucho connections.

Good luck man. I'm sure it will turn up.

Are you able to post the last 6 digits of the VIN number?

Hmmmmm.......A half hour before it was stolen I had just picked up all of the paperwork I ever had for this truck or any other Cruiser I ever owned. (plus everything I have ever filed away in an accordian type file over the past ten years) Yeah, this week has been bad.

IPod, steel toe work boots, running shoes, climbing shoes, headlamps, mountaineering shovel, Carhartt overalls, numerous borrowed books.......etc. All gone

So as of right now I dont even know the VIN without calling my insurance provider.

AAAAAahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Post the last few digits of the VIN as Martin said AND if you can tell us about any little 'unique' dents/markings on it that would distinguish it from another Cruiser brotha from anotha motha. :)

Still looking ...

Any news ?

John

No updates yet other than the guy they caught with my wallet was arrested cause he was driving a stolen car! Coincidence.....i think not. I need to find his name. I am sure he is a honest working citizen with a fixed address, so it will be very easy to find him and round up some of you to go and paya visit!

Considering your vehicle is stolen and they arrested the guy who was caught with your wallet in a stolen vehicle, the police should be able to give you some information. At least if anything to follow up on that person with regards to your cruiser.

Good luck. Hope it gets back soon.
