Sorry so late missed this one for awhile. No it was just the OME heavies and 25mm packers in the front.

Yea I am and I still need to get them welded up so I can linex. I went to a body shop and got a quote. 50 dollars a hole not including the grinding. He said it would take and hour for each one and their rate was 50/hr. Crazy!

That is after you cut out all the tabs which seems like the worse part of the deal because there are like four different sizes.

I have half a roll of aluminum tape that is all yours! The way I look at it is that the plastic plugs weren't keeping any moisture out! Just put tape on both sides if you are really concerned.

But yeah, Mark is right, you'll need to cut out all of the plugs.

I'm going to use a mesh backing tape and JB-Weld the holes. I figure that would be a little more rigid than using tape.

FWIW I used the aluminum tape and two coats of the Durabak about a year and a half and I have yet to see a drop of water get through. That is on the roof so the sun has been extra hard and the rain pools and can soak in much easier. I think you are worrying about it more than is neccessary. I think the reason most do the Durabak or equivalent is so they don't have to mess with welding the holes or the associated bodywork.

That being said welding is the best and most permanent solution. If you go that route you wouldn't have to coat it you could just paint it your own two tone. My .02
